Kindred Minds is a shared ministry of First Baptist Church in Wellsburg, NY and Calvary Baptist Church in Hummels Wharf, Pa., promoting fellowship among those of like precious faith. We are a fellowship that encompasses the biblical positions which have historically defined those known as Baptists. With the First London Baptist Confession of Faith as a doctrinal basis, we wish to revive that spirit of fellowship and cooperation which was a vital part of the churches of the New Testament and defined much of early Baptist life.
To accomplish this, we have set the following goals:
- To seek God’s glory in all that we do.
- To provide a forum to address the issues that face us, and at times divide us.
- To create new friendships and build relationships among those of like precious faith.
- To revive the associational spirit that once defined Baptist life.
- To promote biblical unity in faith and practice.
